主讲人简介:Eugen Brühwiler教授毕业于瑞士苏黎世联邦理工学院(ETH),具有美国科罗拉多大学博士后经历。Eugen Brühwiler教授曾在瑞士联邦铁道部担任桥梁设计与施工管理工程师。1995年受聘为瑞士洛桑联邦理工学院(EPFL)教授,现任瑞士洛桑联邦理工学院(EPFL)土木、建筑与环境学院结构工程教授,结构工程研究所和结构安全与维护实验室主任。

报告摘要:Monitoring of fatigue critical structural members enable accurate determination of fatigue relevant stresses. By means of the presented new approach, the fatigue safety of two riveted railway bridges of high cultural heritage value was verified after more than 115 years of service life. The first riveted railway bridge structure is a 90m single span girder, and data from a 1 year monitoring campaign was analyzed. The second riveted railway structure is an arch bridge of 48m span where data was collected over 4 weeks by means of a simple monitoring system, called “pocket-monitoring”. Sufficient fatigue safety was verified for both railway bridges.
