学生论文竞赛：
The essay competition is open to all registered students (undergraduate as well as post-graduate) at tertiary institutions. The competition is held within the institutions and each institution will select its two winners.
Students need to prepare a five-page essay according to the conference paper format on “Rethinking transportation: planning and building resilient systems to meet global externalities”, providing innovative solutions for the conference theme. Institutions must submit the winning entries by 10 May 2023 so that they may be included on the SATC 2023 USB. Winning students and their lecturer will receive a complimentary registration for SATC 2023. Transport (from within South Africa) to Pretoria and accommodation will also be sponsored.

会议简介：
The conference theme is “Rethinking transportation: planning and building resilient systems to meet global externalities”. The conference will engage all stakeholders involved in the transport sector on how to provide optimum, effective and efficient transportation solutions to improve service delivery to better respond as a sector, to the needs of all users of our transport systems.
The conference provides a platform for national and international dialogues on transport as an enabler of socio-economic development. It also serves as a forum for discussion and information exchange on the implementation of transport policy, strategy and technology applications for all aspects and modes of transportation. Better cooperation between and engagement of all public and private sector stakeholders will be one of the key issues that will be debated and for which solutions will be sought and action plans formulated.
