On June 12, 2020 Dean Chen Jianxun and Party Secretary Wang Hainian visited China Road and Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. The party secretary and chairman Lu Shan and Deputy General Manager Li Gang met Dean Chen Jianxun and his colleague at the company headquarters.
Chairman Lu Shan welcomed the visit of Dean Chen Jianxun and his delegation and introduced the company's achievements under the guidance of “the Belt and Road initiative” and the results of school-enterprise cooperation. He said that China Road and Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. attaches great importance to international talent training and scientific research and development, and hopes to establish a school-enterprise scientific research docking mechanism through cooperation with universities to promote mutual complementarity and mutual benefit. Deputy General Manager Li Gang briefly introduced the company's development and the international technical regulations encountered in overseas markets, and hoped to strengthen cooperation with the Institute of Highway, and work together for a win-win situation. The person in charge of the company's science and technology department reported on the company's scientific and technological work at home and abroad.
Dean Chen Jianxun briefly introduced the international talent training, teacher team construction, scientific research status and future development ideas of the College of Highway, and highly praised China Road and Bridge's achievements and international influence. He said that both the Institute of Highway and Bridge Corporation were founded in 1958 and have a good relationship and foundation for cooperation. He hopes in the future, China Road and Bridge Corporation would carry out more in-depth cooperation in overseas management talent training and joint research on overseas scientific research projects.
Secretary Wang Hainian expressed his gratitude to China Road and Bridge for its concern and recognition in student employment and alumni growth. He briefly introduced the running of the International Engineering Class of College of Highway, the development of Sino-foreign cooperative education projects in the school, the thinking and vision of overseas education, and had in-depth communication with each other on matters such as the training of overseas localized employees and the development of foreign-related testing projects.
After the meeting, Dean Chen Jianxun and his entourage visited the China Road and Bridge History Exhibition Room and watched the corporate video.
