On November 14-15, the "2020 Bridge and Tunnel Development Science and Technology Innovation Conference and Bridge and Tunnel Innovation Achievement Exhibition" was held in Xi’an International Convention and Exhibition Center. This conference was centered on the theme of "Technology Achieves Quality Engineering·Innovation Drives Bridge and Tunnel Development". Leaders, experts, scholars, and representatives of enterprise and business elites gathered to discuss the development and future of my country's bridge and tunnel industry. Professor Zhao Yu from the Institute of Bridge Engineering of college of highway was invited to participate in the conference and give a report. Many teachers and graduate students from the college attended the conference.
At the "Bridge and Tunnel Structure Intelligent Monitoring and Inspection Technology Forum", Professor Zhao Yu gave a report on "Development of New Technology and Equipment for Bridge Intelligent Inspection" and introduced Chang’an university's latest achievements in the research and development of bridge intelligent inspection technology and equipment. In view of the difficult problems in bridge and structure inspection and testing, relying on the Institute of Structural Intelligent Inspection Technology of Chang'an University, it has focused on the development of intelligent inspection and evaluation technology, high-performance sensors and intelligent inspection instruments, and has formed image inspection technology, laser inspection technology, Multi-mode fusion detection technology, strain-type load cell, bridge rapid detection technology and equipment, and other special research directions, in the new structural strain testing technology, new structural deformation testing technology, new internal/external pre-stress testing technology, new structural appearance testing technology Breakthrough results have been achieved in four areas. The research results have been successfully applied to major national engineering projects such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Hangzhou Bay Bridge, Qingdao Bay Bridge, and Shanghai-Tong Yangtze River Bridge. The report aroused high interest and unanimous praise from participating scholars.
The conference was organized by the "Bridge" magazine, the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) Chinese Group, the International Society for Structural Control and Monitoring (IASCM), the International Association for Seismic Bridges (IABEE), and the Permanent Academic Committee of the International Arch Bridge Conference (PSC) -iCAB) and the International Academic Committee of the East Asia-Pacific Conference on Structural Engineering and Construction (EASEC-ISC). Co-organized by CCCC First Highway Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. and CCCC Second Highway Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. More than 1,000 academicians, design masters, industry elites and scholars from the fields of bridge and tunnel design, construction, supervision, scientific research and management at home and abroad attended the conference.
