From July 24 to 25, 2021, the final of the 16th National College Students Transportation Science and Technology Competition, "Zhilian Youdao Cup", sponsored by the Teaching Guidance Committee of Transportation and Engineering of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, organized by the Teaching Guidance Sub-Committee of Transportation Engineering and undertaken by Chongqing Jiaotong University, was successfully held in Chongqing.
More than 1,100 entries from 167 universities entered the competition, 171 of which were finalists. This year, for the first time, a graduate track was opened, and a total of 27 teams from across the country entered the finals. Under the guidance of Professor Zhang Chi of our college, five students Wang Bo, Tang Zhongze, Xie Yongshu, Xiang Yujie and Li Zhiqian won the second prize in the work of "Smooth Zhian" -- Intelligent Analysis and Control System of Expressway Traffic Risk.
According to the concept of "information intelligent perception + risk intelligent research and judgment + control intelligent decision", this work built a multi-source integrated real-time database, innovatively proposed a dynamic traffic risk coupling method, and established "system decision base", "case decision base" and "expert decision base". It achieved an automatic management of intelligent security facilities and decision-making assisted by manual control measures and remote consultation of special treatment schemes for heavy and difficult problems, which was unanimously recognized by the judges.
The National College Students Transportation Science and Technology Competition takes transportation science and technology problems as the carrier to cultivate college students' scientific spirit and scientific accomplishment, the ability to discover and solve problems and the spirit of teamwork, and promote the development of transportation science and technology. The success of this competition reflects the in-depth exchange and innovative thinking of our teachers and students on the existing problems in the industry.
